JUCM Instructions for Authors

JUCM, The Journal of Urgent Care Medicine, welcomes original articles that provide practical clinical and practice management information for our readers―the nation’s urgent care physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. JUCM articles should offer advice and solutions for current issues commonly encountered in day-to-day practice.

Before You Submit
-Please read the complete submission guidelines on our Author Instructions page found on our website: https://www.jucm.com/author-instructions/
-Ensure that factual statements in your article submission are supported by current reference citations formatted in American Medical Association style and listed in the order they are cited in the text
-Submit editable Word documents. We cannot accept PDF versions of article text.
-Submit tables, figures, charts, images, and photos as separate files, rather than embedded in the text document. For images, please upload jpeg files that are of the highest quality/file size possible. Some figures, images, and photos may not be published if they are not print-quality.
-If you’re submitting a Case Report, please ensure you follow the format for Case Reports found here: https://www.jucm.com/documents/case-report-article-structure-instructions.pdf/
-Be aware that as a condition of acceptance, all authors are required to sign both a disclosure form to disclose relevant financial relationships and a license agreement to verify originality and permission to publish
-By submitting, authors acknowledge and agree that their manuscript may be used in a de-identified fashion for educational purposes to teach medical writing and editing principles.
